The Day
Our Schedule
Throughout the day, you’ll benefit from three Virtual Consultations conducted over Google Meet, allowing us to discuss your preferences, address any concerns, and refine the design plan to perfection. Our collaborative approach ensures that your vision is fully realized, resulting in a space that is gorgeous, functional, and suits your lifestyle.
Here’s what the day looks like:
9am – 10am PST / VIRTUAL CONSULTATION
The first hour of the day starts with a Google Meet call to review your Design Questionnaire & room vision.
10AM – NOON PST / DESIGN SPRINT
I work on an initial design plan. We check in at noon to make sure I am on the right path. You spend the morning with the ‘homework’ we set in the Virtual Consultation.
NOON – 3PM PST / FINALIZE FLOORPLAN & SHOPPING LIST
I work on all of the furniture & decor details for your room, including the floorplan & shopping list. You continue on with your ‘homework’.
3pm PST / PRESENTATION & NEXT DAY FOLLOW UP
The final plan is presented to you and you begin the space transformation. I am available for questions (through the Design Platform) until 11am PST the following day.

Case Study
Colette came to me seeking a plan for her family’s basement family room. The space was dark, chilly, and had very little natural light. The room needed to function as a music room, tv zone, and fun place for the young kids to hang out with their friends. Colette also wanted the space to eventually transition to be a teen hang-out room.
We came up with a sunny, bright palette to add vibrancy to the dull space. With sturdy furniture, a colorful rug, and some fun posters on the wall, we were able to create a space that is lively just like this fun family.

Case Study
Cindy and her husband just finished a large renovation of their 1960’s split level family home. With freshly painted walls, slick new hardwood floors and no idea where to start with furnishing the living room, we were able to hone in on 3 possible furniture combinations for the space.
We faced the challenge of creating a multi-function zone that works for movie binges, cocktails with guests, and family game nights. I sent Cindy on her way better prepared to go sit on a whole pile of furniture and determine which pieces worked best. I encouraged her to repeat colors, add texture, and a invest in a few key decor pieces such as a large plant and cane floor lamp. We used a family heirloom for a bar and were able to bind a piece of carpet left from the renovation to create a rug.
With a little outside energy and a clear plan, I am confident that Cindy has everything she needs to create a gorgeous and functional space for her family.

Case Study
Jen was seeking an indoor/outdoor space on their 15′ square back deck. It had been the last piece of the puzzle after an extensive home reno. She wanted to the space to feel cozy, welcoming, casual, organic and eclectic for her family of five, frequent house guests, and exchange students.
We came up with a plan to install dark curtains around the perimeter, string lights, and add an oversize egg chair. We also layered on the textured pillows, blankets, and outdoor rugs. Everything needed to be pet & kid friendly and stand the West Coast damp. Mixing textures, a palette of black, green, wicker, and adding a fire pit table will warm up the space for all the seasons.
This Dream Room in a Day transformed this unused outdoor space into the coziest room in the house. I imagine that egg chair will be the most popular seat in the house!
