I’ll create a tailored plan for your space, reflecting your lifestyle, values, and style, so you can focus on what truly matters.

Design Process – THE ESSENTIAL (VIRTUAL) AND FULL (IRL) PACKAGES

Here is how I work: transparent, clear, creative options

Phase 1 | Getting STARTED

Every project starts with a paid Design Consultation and a Design Questionnaire to discuss your project needs and vision.

Phase 2 | PROPOSAL & project start

I present a proposal which includes the package details and project scope. Upon approval and payment, the design process begins. This phase is all about finding the perfect balance and vibe for your space, taking our time to explore all the options until everything feels just right.

Phase 3 | Design Presentations

Together we finalize the design plan and depending on your package, this is where 2D floorplans and 3D visuals are presented.

Phase 4 | Your Space is Transformed

Shoppable furniture and accessory lists are delivered, or trade orders are placed. Your space begins its transformation as the design plan is executed!

Ditch the overwhelm, gain clarity, and craft a concrete plan to transform that room once and for all! Clear the day, grab your coffee, get ready to collaborate on your dream room!

Efficient, effective, and undeniably fun, this package is designed to deliver transformative results on a tight timeline, ensuring that you achieve your dream room without the stress and hassle typically associated with interior design projects.

OUR TIME TOGETHER

Here’s what the day looks like:

9am – 10am PST / VIRTUAL CONSULTATION

The first hour of the day starts with a Google Meet call to review your Design Questionnaire & room vision.

10AM – NOON PST / DESIGN SPRINT

I work on an initial design plan. We check in at noon to make sure I am on the right path. You spend the morning with the ‘homework’ we set in the Virtual Consultation.

NOON – 3PM PST / FINALIZE FLOORPLAN & SHOPPING LIST

I work on all of the furniture & decor details for your room, including the floorplan & shopping list. You continue on with your ‘homework’.

3pm PST / PRESENTATION & NEXT DAY FOLLOW UP

The final plan is presented to you and you begin the space transformation. I am available for questions (through the Design Platform) until 11am PST the following day.

For an investment of just $495 CAD per room, you’ll receive a personalized experience that covers everything from color palettes to furniture selection, decor, layout, lighting, window coverings, and beyond. No detail is too small – if it’s related to your room design, let’s chat about it!

I use a number of online tools to present your designs and keep your project on task! I use these for both virtual and in-person packages.

Not tech savvy? No problem, I will send along guides with a bit more info about each of these tools. I am here to help!

This is where we share your Proposal, Contract, Invoice and Guides. You can always find them here for future reference.

Tool 2 | Design platform

All Design Communications, Design Boards, Shoppable Links, and Floor Plans are delivered through this user-friendly online platform.

Budget and Fees

Ballantyne Design Co. offers flat fee pricing for all design work.

What is flat fee pricing?

Flat fee pricing refers to a method where I charge a fixed, predetermined amount for my services, regardless of the time or resources spent on the project. This approach provides transparency and predictability for both the designer and the client.

In addition, if you choose to also hire Ballantyne Design Co. for procurement, trades management, and implementation, this is charged out at an hourly rate.

Timeline Expectations

Depending on the package you choose, timelines vary from a 1 hour CONSULTATION and you move forward on your own. To a detailed Virtual ESSENTIAL or In-Person FULL package, giving you all of the design vision & shoppable links to pull together every detail of your space. This typically ranges from 4 – 8 weeks of time collaborating on your space.

I graduated with a fashion design degree 20 years ago and I worked in the industry, for years, as a fashion designer and production manager. I toured the world with the wardrobe department of Cirque du Soleil, where I met my Brazilian husband.⁠

Nine years ago our daughter was born and I had trouble picturing myself back in the fashion industry; so, I went back to school for interior design. ⁠

Combining my unique background in both fashion and interiors, I bring a fresh perspective to your space. Drawing from crossover elements of form, color, proportion, repetition, and texture, let’s collaborate to craft the home of your dreams.⁠
